Good Friday Countdown - It's 5 Weeks Away
We are praying and fasting to prepare our hearts and minds for Good Friday this year! Please, join us!
This Week's Prayer:
"and forgive us our debts, as we have forgiven our debtors."
5 Corinthians 14-15: (ESV) - 14 For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died; 15 and He died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for Him who for their sake died and was raised.
Lord, while I was STILL a sinner you died to offer me forgiveness for my sins. Sins that would have justly chained me to an eternity in hell apart from you. What then can I not be asked to forgive of those that have wronged me. It's no longer the pain, the anger or the spite that resulted from their hurtful wrongdoing that controls me, rather the love of Christ that calls me to live for something greater than myself.
Lord, grant us the strength to love those that have wronged us! Give me your eyes and ears to see and hear those that need to be loved by you and then Holy Spirit give me the strength and courage to love them for you. Call us to the places where we need to rely on YOUR provision to go; so that YOU get all the glory when pain is covered by love and broken relationships are mended. Lord, help us to love others as you do for your glory.
Unity cannot exist without forgiveness and love. Pray for grace to abound between our brothers and sisters in Christ so that our love would witness to the world that our God is alive!
Pray that God would move in our valley in such a way that would cause our nation to hear and give Him glory.
Pray that in 2020 that God would put a HUNGER on the hearts of His people for His Word and a HUNGER for the bread of life that is JESUS!
Pray for the weekly prayer groups meeting throughout the west valley. That as they draw near to Him, they would feel His presence drawing near to them.
Pray for the boldness to preach the gospel as we ought.
Pray for the churches all over the valley. For continued strength and courage to walk in faith. ( Check out the list of churches we're praying for listed at the bottom of our website AND contact us through our website if you'd like YOUR church to be added to our list!)
How is God moving in YOU and YOUR Community?
Here's a BOLD Move: Go to the pastor of your neighboring church and invite them to come to the West Valley Good Friday Breakfast WITH you! And then, please, TELL US about what God is doing to unite His people.
Invite your friends: Reserve a table for your church and BRING your pastor and your friends (especially those that don't know Jesus) to come with you.
Sign up for our weekly email, to get our prayer list and blog posts from pastors all over the west valley!
